About half a year has passed since Louhi and its Lohja-based subsidiary Getafix embarked on their joint journey. By complementing Louhi’s service capabilities, which specialize in web hosting and Google services, with Getafix’s core expertise in Microsoft and local area networks, the aim has been to provide an even more capable offering for the companies’ SME customers.
As ICT extends deep into various business processes, a properly adapted technical solution and the efficiency of applications play an increasingly essential role in a company’s competitiveness. Thus, even smaller companies’ needs for a solution that optimally reflects their operating environment are already commonplace. An ICT partner is needed that offers solutions, expertise, and flexibility to adapt its operations to the needs of different customers.
The opportunity for Louhi and Getafix to combine the expertise of both companies to complement customers’ service packages has indeed generated interest.
“The collaboration between Louhi and Getafix towards customers has gotten off to a good start, and we have already had several discussions and carried out surveys and additional services,” states Getafix’s COO Mika Linna.
Mika recently joined to lead Getafix’s operations, possessing a strong background in understanding the ICT sector and the foundation of sustainable customer collaboration:
“For me, developing customer relationships is important. We want to offer reliable service and secure, modern IT environments to customers who are developing their own businesses. Throughout my career, I have worked on many different IT projects and collaborated closely with B2B customers, wholesalers, and manufacturers. Trust, proactivity, teamwork, and responsibility are important aspects of my daily work.”
“It strongly appears that there has been a need for this type of approach. At Getafix, we can cost-effectively offer company-specific, solution-oriented additional services for Microsoft 365 environments. We solve IT challenges according to customer needs,” he continues.
Cybersecurity Workshop to Review and Ensure Company Cybersecurity
In addition to a long-term customer solution continuously developed in collaboration with the customer, Getafix and Louhi have also identified a customer need for a “cybersecurity workshop.” This survey, delving into the customer’s cybersecurity policy and the overall security of their infrastructure, would cover the customer’s local area networks, firewalls, active network devices and switches, M365/GWS settings, MFA, device management, and data backup.
“Behind the need for a ‘cybersecurity workshop’ survey are increased threats and regulatory requirements for ensuring cyber and information security, as well as data management that considers data protection. Business continuity and securing a company’s confidential information require companies to update their practices and solutions in this regard,” reminds Louhi’s CEO Mika Paavola.
A timely legislative change coming into force this year is the EU Cybersecurity Directive NIS2, which directly or indirectly requires improved cybersecurity practices from almost every company.
