Mastervent Oy, founded in 1993, is a Finnish company that manufactures customized air handling units for commercial and industrial properties, schools, and other public sites. At the same time, Mastervent wanted to review its entire IT environment more broadly and requested quotes from several providers. Through the Getafix partnership, Mastervent’s IT environment has been modernized in stages to meet the increased demands of the production environment. Getafix has supplied the company with a wide range of IT hardware, including new workstations, monitors, and laptops, a NAS server, switches, firewalls, a 5G modem and antennas, and UPS backups for critical devices. Additionally, the package includes multifunction printers, individual printers, and presentation technology for the conference room. As the latest addition, the infrastructure was expanded with a property camera surveillance system.
In addition to hardware, Getafix is responsible for Mastervent’s core software and service packages. These include the Microsoft 365 environment with licenses and email services, VPN remote work solutions, Adobe licenses, and centralized cybersecurity solutions from WithSecure and WatchGuard. Getafix also provides hosting services and handles minor website maintenance tasks.
“Usability is clearly better nowadays, and troubleshooting IT problems no longer takes time away from other work,” Laukka describes.
Getafix also takes care of continuous monitoring and updates of the IT environment without Mastervent needing to separately request or order actions. When needed, help and advice have been provided quickly for various operational and technical situations for different personnel groups. This has reduced the daily workload and made the IT environment truly predictable, even in exceptional circumstances.
