Copilot Chat utilizes the latest language models (GPT-5), understands natural language, and can answer questions, summarize content, generate new ideas, and assist with various work tasks. Copilot Chat only utilizes information found on the public web.

How can you start using Copilot Chat?
1. Type copilot.microsoft.com into your browser
2. Sign in with a Microsoft work account
3. Start a conversation by entering a question or request in the text field
4. You can also add Copilot to Teams from the Apps menu on the left sidebar
Why should you sign in with a work account?
Security and privacy: Copilot Chat follows the same strict security practices as Microsoft 365 Copilot. User prompts are protected by the same contractual terms and commitments as emails in Exchange Online or files in SharePoint Online. For more information: Enterprise data protection
