Getafix Oy has acquired the entire share capital of ICT service company OpenSpace Oy. This acquisition follows previous corporate acquisitions by Getafix Oy’s parent company Louhi Net Oy (PH Data Oy and Cloudlife Oy). The deal strengthens Getafix Oy’s ICT support services and expertise in information security and digital work solutions. OpenSpace’s personnel will continue as existing employees, and the company will be merged into Getafix Oy later this year.
Getafix and OpenSpace have a long history of collaboration, particularly in Western Uusimaa, and this acquisition is a natural continuation of that partnership. It also aligns with the strategy of Getafix’s parent company, Louhi Net Oy, to bring ICT services to market specifically for SMEs. These services are designed to better serve customers than current market offerings, especially in a situation where technological disruption is reshaping the market, driven by AI and cybersecurity.
OpenSpace Acquisition Strengthens Service Offering and Customer Service
Following these arrangements, Getafix Oy will become an entity comprising 23 experts and approximately 3.5 million euros in turnover. Its expertise is focused on comprehensive ICT services and securely delivering the benefits of various Microsoft ecosystem services, particularly for SMEs.
For OpenSpace customers, this change will manifest as an even more comprehensive service offering and improved scalability, while maintaining the customer’s own ICT strategy and platform choices as the starting point. For Getafix, the acquisition brings additional training and consulting expertise to enhance the use of Microsoft’s AI, cybersecurity, and Microsoft 365 services, from which customers will benefit through increased operational efficiency.
Mika Paavola, CEO, Louhi Net Oy and Getafix Oy:
“The long-standing cooperation with OpenSpace Oy and the discussions held demonstrated that combining forces brings added value to the customers of both companies. For existing joint customers, service delivery becomes easier from the customer’s perspective, and for OpenSpace Oy’s customers, this ensures the continuation of services and allows for an even broader offering.”
Pasi Mannerkoski, CEO, OpenSpace Oy:
“Merging with Getafix Oy significantly opens new doors regarding the services delivered to customers. As a result of the acquisition and the subsequent merger, our customers will gain even broader expertise in their Microsoft 365 solutions and more specialists to implement daily ICT maintenance services and deliver modern business-developing implementations.”
The merger of OpenSpace into Getafix will be implemented as quickly as possible during the upcoming summer. Earlier this year, PH Data, previously acquired by Louhi, merged into Getafix, and Cloudlife Oy, acquired in December, will also merge into Getafix this summer. OpenSpace will merge shortly thereafter.
Through this corporate arrangement, OpenSpace Oy will also immediately become a member of the Data Group chain, enabling it to better serve its national customers through chain collaboration.
